42 Soccer Fields
2010
In an attempt to test the consistency of GPS technology as a whole I set out with multiple GPS units to walk a path and see how each device captured the movement in its own way.
If the layout of a soccer field was replicated over and over again shouldn't the results be the same every time because it is a set path? Since a soccer field has distinct and recognizable lines consisting of rectangles and circles the accuracy of the GPS data would be easy to analyze. The layout of a soccer field is widely known making it ideal for the project.
26 miles of track were recorded during this project.
