What does Purchase College really look like to those who know it best?

GPurchS is a user generated map of the college's campus, without any of the roads, buildings and landmarks to hold back the movements and actions of the school. It is a new map created out of the need, desire, and exploration by the community as they move about the campus.

Each track traces a person's day from their first movement in the morning to their last at night. The individual tracks are each driven by a different purpose and provide an insight into that person's daily life. Viewers are asked to evaluate what they see before them and come to their own conclusions about how different areas of the campus are utilized and discover the relationships if any between different tracks. The longer one stands in front of the piece the more they uncover about what they see before them.

GPurchS is a 12 foot tall puzzle that illustrates the complexity of each person's relationship, presence, and impact on the campus and the piece's meaning is revealed as the viewer takes it in.
