Texting while walking is not only distracting it is dangerous. People are crossing streets without looking and overall causing a nuisance to those traveling around them.

Motion Text Blocker is a smartphone plug-in that blacks out the screen when it detects someone is texting in motion. The plug-in utilizes the phone's accelerometer and compass to detect the movement.

This will cause people to focus on what they are doing. It will slow them down and fight the urge to multitask when it is nonessential causing one to spend more time with the message while keeping the city safer.
